This week, a 52-foot, 30,000 pound Jesus descended upon Monroe, Ohio, located thirty miles north of Downtown Cincinnati. The statue was erected at Solid Rock Church in the same place where the infamous "Touchdown Jesus" statue was struck by lighting in 2010. The new statue, a full-figured Jesus with outstretched arms has already garnered the nickname "Hug Me Jesus." Personally, I think it looks more like he's promoting the Five Dollar Footlong sandwich at Subway.
